THE INAGURAL E. HOWARD BEDROSSIAN, MD, FACS LECTURE

E. Howard Bedrossian joined the staff at Wills (on Spring Garden Street) in 1948, He was on a horizontal service until 1967, when the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Motility vertical service was officially formed by Dr. Robison Harley, with Dr. Donelson Manley. He combined a practice at Wills with active involvement in teaching, and a large private practice in the Philadelphia suburbs. He was incredibly committed to resident education and clinical research at both Wills Eye Hospital and The University of Pennsylvania, specifically in the area of surgical and non-surgical management of strabismus, as well as optics and refraction as it related to accommodative esotropia.
